Microsoft Adds HP Elite x3 Smartphone to Windows Store, $799


So far, the HP Elite x3 Windows 10 device has only been sold via online channels but it has now been confirmed that it will be sold through Microsoft’s brick and mortar retail stores in the coming week.

Customers who are interested in buying one will be able to walk into one of the company’s stores and pick up the HP Elite x3 directly from it.

The company initially started selling the handset online last month. It sold out within a couple of weeks and remains sold out on HP.com. Microsoft delayed sales a couple of times until October 6th. The handset is priced at $799 unlocked and off-contract.

HP’s latest handset features a 5.96 inch WQHD 2560×1440 pixel resolution display, a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820processor with 4GB RAM, 64GB store, USB Type-C port, 16 megapixel rear camera, and more. Additional features include Cat.6 LTE with 2×2 AC Wi-Fi support, support for microSD expansion up to 2TB, dual nano-SIM ports as well as a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.


The confirmation that it’s going to be available from the company’s physical retail storescomes from VP of OEM Worldwide Marketing at Microsoft Peter Han. He has confirmed that more than 100 brick and mortar Microsoft retail stores will have the HP Elite x3 in stock starting next week.
