How to Block Facebook on a Work Computer
Enable Content Advisor
Step 1
Click "Start," then select "Control Panel."
Step 2
Click "Network and Security," then select "Internet Options." Then the Internet Options window will open.
Step 3
Click the "Content" tab, then click the "Enable" button in the Content Advisor section. The Content Advisor window will open.
Step 4
Click the "General" tab, then click "Create Password."
Step 5
Enter a password and a password hint in the appropriate boxes. Click "OK" to save the password, close the Content Advisor window and then return to the Internet Options window.
Block Facebook
Step 1
Click "Settings" in the Content Advisor section on the Internet Options window.
Step 2
Type your password in the "Supervisor Password Required" window, then click the "OK" button.
Step 3
Click the "Approved Sites" tab, then type "www.facebook.com" in the "Allow This Website" box.
Step 4
Click the "Never" button, then click "Apply" and "OK" to save the settings.
