Amazon App update finally brings single sign-on to other Android devices
The official Amazon app — the one where you do all your online mobile shopping which eases the purchase on the phone experience — has gotten a simple, but useful update. The main update that has caught everyone’s attention is the single sign-on. That means that users will no longer have to sign into Amazon’s apps on an individual basis.
You will simply sign on once with the base Amazon app, and you’ll be signed in to, Amazon MP3, Kindle, the Amazon Appstore and more. This feature was only previously available for Kindle Fire users so it’s nice to see them roll it out to everyone else in Android community.
Other changes in this update include a brand new icon. It’s fresh. It’s new. It’s nice. And it’s sad that the app itself still looks like it was designed for the original T-Mobile G1 back in 2008.
