Sony working on Internet TV deal together with Viacom

Sony Corporation is almost ready to strike a deal to get streaming content from the media company Viacom for their new internet-based TV station.

According to reports by the Wallstreet journal, the two companies are on their final talks before signing a deal that will see sony having their dedicated internet based TV station.

Sony is also said to be in talks with other major media stations in the US for possible programming deals, this includes Warner, Disney and CBS.

If the reports are confirmed, the new service will be launched before the ned of this year and will be available on Sony's new PlayStation's console, Bravia high-definition TVs and could later expand to other Sony products such as tablets and mobile phones.
