Microsoft reportedly working on a Smartwatch

Microsoft is said to be exploring idea of joining the smartwatch market, according to reports by the Wall street journal. The reports also suggest that the tech giant has asked suppliers in asia to ship components for a potential touch enabled smart watch.

An executive at the suppliers told the wall street journal that he had met with Microsoft's  research and development team in washington to discuss the possibility but it is still unclear whether microsoft will commit to produce the devices.

If the reports are true, then Microsoft will be joining the likes of Apple, Google Samsung and others in what promises to be a booming smartwatch market in the near future.
