Number Portability; How to switch

Number portability is now on, you can now move to your desired network provider in just a few steps, all you need to do is visit your mobile operator with your national identification card and fill in a mobile portability form of the provider that you wish to switch to.

You will also be required to pay Kshs. 200 where you will be issued with a new SIM card. you will be required to send an SMS with the word HAMA to 1501 using your existing SIM card then a notification message will be sent to you confirming the move. the process should not take you more than 48 hours, insert your new SIM card and you are ready to use the new network.
